The editor of the Southwest Kansas Register is David Myers, who is responsible for writing, photography and design and layout. Prior to his hiring in 2000, he served at various newspapers in Colorado, where he won several awards, including two first place awards from the Colorado Press Association for his humor column.
In addition to his duties as Diocesan Archivist, Tim Wenzl serves the Register as advertising representative. Having served as editor for 10 years, Tim is invaluable as a contributing writer and photographer. He is the author of numerous books highlighting the history of Dodge City and the parishes of Southwest Kansas. He is the author of the diocesan history, “A Legacy of Faith,” and the diocesan necrology, “Priests on the Prairie.”
The publisher and president of the Southwest Kansas Register is the Most Rev. Ronald M. Gilmore, Bishop of Dodge City. A native of Pittsburg, Kansas, Bishop Gilmore was ordained to the priesthood on June 7, 1969. He was ordained and installed as the fifth Bishop of Dodge City on July 16, 1998.
